The Mineralogical & Geological Museum at Harvard University (MGMH) is located within the Harvard Museum of Natural History, Harvard University (HMNH). The MGMH, the research museum affiliated with the Earth and Planetary Sciences Department (EPS) at Harvard University, is committed to the development and preservation of world-class collections of minerals and gemstones, rocks and ores, and meteorites for research, and education. In partnership with The Harvard Museums of Science & Culture (HMSC), we create remarkable public displays for everyone!
Getting to Harvard University
From within the US
You can get to Harvard's main campus by plane, rail, bus, and car, although parking on the premises of Harvard is limited.
By road
If traveling by car, please note that street parking is very limited in Harvard Square, though parking garages do provide off-street parking for a fee.
By train
Trains arrive at Back Bay Station, North Station, or South Station. From there, take a taxi, ride-sharing service, or the T (visit mbta.com for schedules, maps, and rider tools) to arrive at Harvard Square.
From outside the US
Attendees will need to arrange and cover the cost of their inbound and return flights.
